It’s the best day ever!
One of the best things I do as a golden retriever is make my Grandpa happy!
He is 91, can’t hear, calls me by the wrong name, he tries to hide treats, he is slow and unstable…
But the smile I put on his face means I am doing my job as “his” dog!
He is a pretty good ear scratcher too!
I love to go see my grandpa and I start whining the minute when we drive down his street.

It’s the best day ever.
My human puts an egg in the middle of my food when he feeds me… i love eggs … not as much as socks, but eggs make me grunt when I eat … I can’t help it.
I got caught starting to dig another hole.
I was hiding my activities from my human perfectly and not sure how he found out.
He took a picture… I would blame the cat, but we don’t have one. Wait, it could be that stupid, nosey-nate cat from across the street!
Somebody saw a picture of me with my incredible wealth of toys but no “buzzy bee.”
So yesterday Mr. Amazon man brought me a present of a new “buzzy bee.” I was so excited!
Humans are awesome! Thank you! (Hint)

It’s the best day ever.
My human calls it the TIME OUT square on his patio …
I just like to lay on the tile where ever I want because I am the queen of my castle and he is not the boss of me…
He also has been speaking Spanish now that the back yard is all nice and neat and he doesn’t want anymore Riley-made holes in it.
Mr Man also told me he would make a rug out of me if I kept bringing geckos into the house! (I know he doesn’t mean it)
We are off for out early morning walk, I mean patrol, in the dark… I am always on alert against you know who…

It’s the best day ever.
I had lots of company yesterday!
My grandpa and grandma came to see me and brought chicken… I love chicken …
I especially love it when my grandpa shares his chicken sandwich … I was a good girl, so I ate almost all of it (except the pickles).
At the same time my Aunt Jutta Moses brought me an orange toy ball that holds treats. It’s my all time favorite toy!
… and I spent three exhausting hours getting all the treats out … my jaw was tired …
Just fyi … it is in my DNA to never miss an opportunity to be a ferocious, finger eating, 64 lb lap dog.
Plus, I have to remind my human who is boss around here. I do that by sitting/laying on top of him whenever he gets comfortable.

It’s the best day ever.
Grandpa and Grandma came over to dinner last night along with my human cousin-in-law Marsha Ramsey Davenport! She was really nice and petted me a lot and brought me a chew toy… so she was my favorite …
Then the best part happened… For dinner I got chicken, rice, gravy, and broccoli for dinner.
OMG was it the very best meal I ever had and so yummy… I grunted a little.
I wonder if Mr Man has any more of that chicken? You know how much I love chicken.
Then, after dinner, I tried to chase this stupid wabbit who is taunting me from afar…. but I was too full.
I am going to get him…
