The Life of Riley
It’s the best day ever.
Oh, the trials and tribulations of a golden retriever! 
Picture this: there I was, the backyard explorer extraordinaire, digging a hole to rival the Seven Wonders of the World! 
But alas, my masterpiece came at a cost: muddy paws that rivaled a mud wrestling champion’s! 
As I approached the door, visions of treats and cuddles danced in my head, only to be met with the dreaded words: “Sorry, buddy, your paws are too muddy!”
Well, at least it rhymed…
However, this time he did not threaten to sell me for digging holes in “his” yard! 
The injustice!
But fear not, dear GR lovers, for this golden retriever is nothing if not resourceful! 
With a twinkle in my eye and a wag of my tail, I proposed a compromise: “How about just sticking one paw inside until my feet dried?”
And lo and behold, my plan worked like a charm! 
After an eternity of waiting, I was welcomed back into the warmth of the house, where a glorious reward awaited me: the bottom of the yogurt container to lick to my heart’s content! 
Oh, the sweet taste of victory!
